Government House (3 galleries)

Having previously served as the office and residence of Hong Kong's Governors until 30 June 1997, Government House is the official residence of the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The building is actively used for the reception of dignitaries and other important official and social functions.

Construction took four years and was completed in 1855. In 1889 an annex was added to the building's eastern wing and this now houses the Ballroom....
