China Navigation Company godowns in Haizhu (Honam Island), Guangzhou (Canton). The photograph was from the opposite riverbank on what was known as Gough Island. And this tributary of the Pearl River was once referred to as Canton's back reach to Macau. The godowns have been restored and as of October 2017, were slowly filling with bars, restaurants and the commercial interests.
